Two rules of thumb to remember: 1) Don't tag for the renderer. 2) It's hard to go wrong with a journal entry pointing to the location you're working on and ask "How do I?" when you can't find the answer in the wiki. > Am I correct in thinking Mapnik is the 'basic' (or first) render for > OSM? Osmarender tends to be more complete in it's tag awareness. * Some restrictions apply, such as multipolygons and area=yes tags, for which there's pretty much only one right way to do it.
