Check if there is Yahoo imagery available for your zone. If not, use landsat-7 at least. The JOSM WMS plugin is able to use both. > > 4. For densely mapped urban areas, a scanned "walking paper" is quite good, as GPS signal tends to be imprecise. In a technology campus, with buildings apart from each other, GPS will be good for the roads and such. > > 3. Install whatever JOSM plugins you feel are appropriate. Scanning a walking paper lets you import that image into JOSM, and draw nodes and ways on top of your notes. > > 2. The GPX waypoints serve as a reference to help you draw nodes and ways. P.S.: The text you're writing should *not* have a ">" symbol in front. That lets us know what you are saying (no >) and what others said before (>, or >>). -- ---------------------------------- Iván Sánchez Ortega <[email protected]> http://ivan.sanchezortega.es MSN:[email protected] Jabber:[email protected] ; [email protected] IRC: ivansanchez @ OFTC & freenode _______________________________________________ newbies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/newbies
