Jeremy, Thanks for your response. I used the memory parameters as you showed them, and I think the memory issue is resolved. I think that the memory error message did not have a capital "X" in the suggested solution, however I could be wrong. At any rate the way you presented them seems to work. I was working on an area further south and west of the central city, (near I-20 and Hulen Street) but I attempted downloading Yahoo imagery in WMS for the area you tested, with the same results. White tiles with the Yahoo! copyright logo. I had deleted JOSM and reinstalled once before, with the improvement that I went from "Exception Occurred" to the white tiles. However, I had not cleared out the WMS cache, etc. in my Documents and Settings (I'm running Windows Xp Pro), so I have deleted JOSM and all the plugin information in Documents and Settings. I reinstalled JOSM, going from stable version 1821 (I think) to 2255. I then installed WSM from the preferences plugin page. Now, I'm back where I started the first time I installed WSM, red blocks with "Exception occurred" when I attempt to load Yahoo data. I added Terraserver Urban, and can download that imagery, but the projection scale is way off (too small for the OSM map). In addition, there is a big discontinuity in the image right in the area where I'm working. Arrgh!! Any suggestions are much appreciated. -- Randy _______________________________________________ newbies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/newbies
