They are also used for access to trash collection. In newer areas, alleys are no longer in use (too much wasted space that could be sold for revenue.) In these areas, front drives, and front facing attached garages are the norm. Most houses will have an address assigned to them. The road that is part of the address would be the street that the house is located upon. We have similar situations here, where a main street has multiple bays off of it, but usually the bays either simply use the same name as the main street, with the house numbers incrementing around the bay, or the stub has a name of it's own, with it's own unique house numbering. I would be inclined to tag the ways in your image as residential streets, I interpret driveways to be privately owned as the map features page describes. I would probably tag roadways in a small gated community or a condominium complex with driveway if they are privately owned and maintained.
