The editor does not assist with that - the case I was referring to is where some of the houses are not physically equally spaced - those nodes can be numbered. There is no editor tool to generate equally spaced numbered nodes that I know of. However, that would be a simple addition to the JOSM Address Interpolation plugin; I may try to add that in the next week or 2. >> The editors do not automatically create all numbered nodes along they >> interpolation way. > > Is interpolation done by renderer? or by some other process and that > process fill all numbers, or all nodes as such remain unnumbered and > numbers are shown only in rendered tiles? The primary user of address interpolation ways is computer geo-location from a numbered address - for either map marker placement or navigation. So all that is required are the 2 end nodes and the way with only enough un-tagged nodes to define the path of the houses. The usual rendering is just a dotted line on the map between the 2 numbered end nodes. _______________________________________________ newbies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/newbies
