Okay, thanks for that.

   1. Understand that
   2. This would create a routable intersection? What is the difference with
   3 or 4?
   3. This creates a routable intersection - understand that.
   4. Is Split an alternative to unglue? What is the difference with 3?

PS what is the best way to respond to these threads and preerve formatting
and quotations?

Thanks
Gavin

1. Combine ways - takes 2 seperately tagged ways and combines them
into a single way.
Any conflicting tags are highlighted for you to edit.

2. Merge nodes - combines selected nodes into a single node positioned
at their centroid.
Again, any conflicts are highlighted.
3. Join node to way - attaches the selected node to an intersecting or
almost adjacent way.
This one's typically used to indicate an intersection between 2 or more ways.

4. Glue/unglue ways. Creates or deletes an intersection between 2 or more ways.
