Did my original message appear like that, or was that from a reply to my 
message?  At any rate, it looks like someone's email client is ignoring hard 
carriage returns when it line-wraps.

On a possibly related note, can someone tell me why a few messages end up 
with all the newlines stripped, appearing like this:
