Dear Xan, You presented the information as if the data was okay for inclusion in OSM. Please update your wiki page to indicate that this is a potential data source, but is not yet okay for inclusion in OSM. And please pass that along to any other channels (talk-es and others) you may have used. If they donate data under PDDL, or data is available as Public Domain, that's generally okay from a license perspective. But that does not address the quality or suitability of the data. Both of those must be considered as well. Did you tell them that OSM would add source= for each object? Then you negotiated. Do they think that you speak for all of OSM or the OSM Foundation? Then you negotiated. ;-) I applaud your enthusiasm and the initiative in finding a potential data source. But licenses are complicated and OSM aims to stay unassailable in our respect for the data of others, as we expect others to respect our data.
