Do you mean missing from the data, or missing from a map rendering that
data somewhere? There is a map on the front page of osm.org, but that's
only one possible rendering of the data - even the different map styles
available there show different data.

I'm pretty sure that someone somewhere has had a go at all of the items
in the subject (some are quite regularly mapped). If you haven't aleady
seen it have a read here:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Main_Page
(you can search for e.g. "pedestrian crossings" there).
However, people can and do add what they like to the map, so there are
no "plans to introduce" anything. If you're adding something new to the
map have a look at somewhere like tagwatch
(http://tagwatch.stoecker.eu/) to see what's already in use, and also
have a look at the wiki to see what's been documented (although the two
don't always go hand in hand).
There are plenty of people using OSM data for routing (I regularly use
it for pedestrian and car routing on Garmin devices, for example). A
couple of ready-made services on the web that spring to mind are
http://open.mapquest.co.uk/ and http://www.cyclestreets.net/ , but I'm
sure that there are others.
