Note that GPS points have a certain degree of inaccuracy to them, as
well. Most consumer-grade GPSes aren't going to do better than 3-meter
accuracy, and might well be worse for any given reading.
yes, this is why, if a well aligned imagery layer is available, it's a very
good idea to turn it on to see if it helps with placement.
