Chances are the theme was incompatible. art.gnome.org is a good place to
find compatible themes.

BTW, you're email provider tacked an incredibly annoying footer with a
flashing icon onto your email. We try to be nice, but HTML
email--especially with flashing content--is a good way to get ignored.
