Sorry if this is a repost. I thought I posted this yesterday, but I have not heard anything back, and am not certain the post was successful.
I just installed Red Hat on a desktop and have been having troubles with the monitor. When I'm in the command line, the monitor works fine. Then, when I open XWindows, the screen is off center, and i have to manually reconfigure it. After that, if I open tux racer or something else like that, it works until I get out of the game, at which point it is back to the same configuration it was at before i had centered the screen. Also, if i leave XWindows and open it again, it's off center again, (in the same place)... i'm guessing from the way it is manifesting itself that this is not a hardware-related issue because it seems that the software is reconfiguring the monitor settings... is there any way to fix it? i'm running KDE with RedHat 8... current screen resolution is 1280x768... thank you so much!!! ~Erin ===== http://www.userfriendly.org __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
