Frederic Thanks for the very prompt reply! I appreciate it. I tried your suggestion but it still chokes in Entity_PUBLICATION as show below when using gcc 2.96-113. I can't get gcc 3.2.3 to go again:-( Some problem with loading shared libraries during the configure script. Had it working but seem to have forgotten how. Had renamed all the existing gcc 2.96 rpm installation (gcc, cpp, g++ c++ to other names) and added /usr/local/bin to my path which is where the gcc 3.2.3 gcc, etc live. How do I get it to load the libstdc++.so.5 library in /usr/local/lib? I have tried adding this to the path but to no avail.
Do I have to use gcc > 2.96-113 eg gcc 3.2.3?
