Clinton Turns On Bush?
September 19, 2005 - Washington, DC - PipeLineNews - In an ABC news
"interview" - wink wink, nod, nod - with the most morally bankrupt
politician ever to occupy the office of the presidency, and the only
elected US president ever to be impeached - William Jefferson Clinton
- the ex-Felon in Chief is being portrayed in some sectors of the
national media now as having "turned" on his new "friend," President
Bush.
The Oxford English Dictionary defines the transitive verb "turn" as
follows – "change in position to give a new direction to…" So it seems
that in order to turn one must deviate from a previously held
position, which in the case of Mr. Clinton is absurd.
In Clinton's conversation with ABC, he savages Bush on every aspect of
his presidency from Iraq to Katrina. In doing so he further sullies
his tattered reputation in that he breaks the long-held convention
that former presidents do not criticize sitting presidents while at
the same time betraying the trust that President Bush placed in him
vis a vis the Indonesian tsunami and now the Katrina hurricane relief
efforts.
Clinton was, is now and will always be Clinton - a mean, morally weak
and vindictive man.
Technically he is a sociopath - a rapist if Juanita Broderick is to be
believed, and we find no reason to doubt her.
What crack-house political advice would motivate one to make the
decision to open his family and his heart to this discredited piece of
human garbage escapes us, and - if we are reading the tea leaves
correctly here [we are] - the overwhelming majority of Mr. Bush's
rapidly souring conservative base?
For some inexplicable reason this White House is far more interested
in pursuing convoluted little political schemes - from making nice
with the dregs of the Democrat Party to sending clueless half-wits
like Karen Hughes, on her knees to Wahhabi conventions, to prove some
misplaced sense of inclusiveness and buck up its multicultural
credentials - than it is in giving even lip service to the philosophy
which motivates those who put him in office.
So in essence one betrayal has mirrored itself in something very
similar, and despite all of our admiration for what Mr. Bush has
attempted to do, it serves him right.
If Move-On can claim that it owns the rotting core of Howard Dean's
party, then is it such a stretch to demand that this president
recognize the people who have toiled for him - in an unpaid capacity -
from before the 2000 primaries through now?
We think not, and the people who own the Republican Party, lock stock
and barrel are the grassroots conservatives - the religious right, the
Internet activists not the least of which, the Swift Boat Veterans -
which this administration pissed on - were responsible for destroying
the Kerry campaign and giving this president his second term, talk
radio - starting with Rush Limbaugh, not to mention the literally
millions of middle class individuals and families who write those
seemingly small checks that swell the GOP's coffers in their totality.
It is these people, the Republican Army, that Mr. Bush through his
reliance on ill-advised Rovian rocket science is figuratively giving
the back of his hand.
Mr. Bush, now that you - hopefully - see what extending the hand of
camaraderie and turning the other cheek has brought you - a precipice
over which lies a shattered political dream, we offer with the utmost
humility the following advice:
Mr. President, start vetoing bills and stop spending like a drunken bureaucrat.
Do something about securing America's borders, with all due respect,
none of this country's founding fathers were named Martinez.
If you are going to commit US troops - which we support - get the hell
out of the way, turn them loose and let them fight - if battlefield
commanders suggest we flatten places like Fallujah and Sadr City allow
them to reduce those hellholes to dust before the sun shines on the
morrow.
We owe the Muslim world nothing.
Mr. President, we implore you get tough, grab one of Buchanan's
pitchforks, since he's done nothing for you or this party for thirty
years he might as well at least provide some symbolism...and please
tell your mother to stop calling Mr. Clinton "son."
Do you know that makes us puke?
Failure to be a realist has led you to the mess you currently find
yourself in. We suggest that you govern from principle, not political
calculation. You and the country will be far better off dealing with
the wrath of those who will always be your - and America's - enemies
outright, rather than engaging in transparent public relations games
that merely make you look naive, strengthen your adversaries and harm
this country.
A lot remains to be done...do it - we, your domestic troops will
support you - and don't look back.
