Milosevic brother: Family does not trust UN autopsy
Borislav Milosevic, the older brother of late ex-Yugoslav leader Slobodan
Milosevic, said today that the family does not trust the UN tribunal to
conduct his autopsy impartially.
I know that his family is against any autopsy there because they dont
trust them, just as he didnt trust the doctors and that tribunal, the
brother said in a TV interview in Moscow, where he lives.
Borislav said the family has not decided where to bury his brother, who was
found dead in his cell at a UN prison near The Hague, today. The
64-year-old, who was in ill health, appeared to have died of natural causes,
a UN tribunal press officer said in the Netherlands.
When asked if the ex-Serbian president would be buried in his homeland, the
brother said: I dont know yet.
Its his family who will decide.
But he said Slobodan branded the butcher of the Balkans by the West
after orchestrating a decade of bloodshed during the break-up of his country
- would be remembered differently in Serbia.
You know, he has a lot of supporters there, a lot of people who respect
him. For them it will be a big blow, he said.
I think that his memory will remain etched in history and everything he did
for his country and for his people, resisting separatism and terrorism and
outside interference, said Borislav, a Moscow-based businessman who was the
Yugoslav ambassador to Russia.
