Albanian extremists bracing for attacks in Kosovo

Belgrade - Albanian extremists are preparing attacks
in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica and against
members of the international forces once the last
round of negotiations on Kosovo are over.

The ex-Head of the Counter-Intelligence Service of the
Serbian Army, Momir Stojanovic, said this today,
citing Kosovar Albanian sources.

According to Stojanovic, some information suggest that
the veterans of the former Kosovo Liberation Army are
paying visits to the homes of Albanians in Metohija
and Central Kosovo, supplying men of full age with
weapons and uniforms.

"This suggests that the extremists will try to drive
the international community to the wall instead of
waiting for Dec 10, when the negotiating process is
due to wrap up," Stojanovic said.
