DANGEROUS TECHNOLOGIES TESTED AT BALKANS

-The Balkans have been notoriously known in the past
fifteen years for the Western – especially, U.S. –
attempts to put to a test different plans to revamp
countries and whole regions.
-[Kosovo secession] will humiliate Russia and the
Security Council of the United Nations.
A second Albania will prove to be a loyal military and
political ally of the United States....
-[Examining] what is known as the Belgrade revolution
of three years ago and the removal from office of
Slobodan Milosevic, and then the color revolutions on
post-Soviet territory, you will see that there is no
difference whatsoever between all those events.

The Serbian province of Kosovo is holding elections to
its parliament and municipal assemblies on Saturday.

The Voice of Russia’s Pyotr Iskenderov feels the
leading opposition force – the Democratic Party –
stands a good chance to win these elections.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo is led by Hashim
Thachi, who used to lead the Kosovo Liberation Army.

Thachi says control of the national legislature will
enable him to proclaim the sovereignty of Kosovo soon
after the tenth of next month.

The tenth of next month is when three international
mediators — Russia, the United States of America and
the European Union – will brief the secretary-general
of the United Nations on the Belgrade-Pristina
negotiations which are expected to define the status
of Kosovo.

The latest developments seem to fall in line with what
the United Nations’ mission in Kosovo started
describing as the likeliest course of events when
Kosovo failed to win controlled [supervised]
sovereignty, that is sovereignty under the control of
the United Nations and the European Union.

Controlled sovereignty relegated to oblivion, the
separatists are headed for self-proclaimed
sovereignty.

The Balkans have been notoriously known in the past
fifteen years for the Western – especially, U.S. –
attempts to put to a test different plans to revamp
countries and whole regions.

The time has obviously come to see whether the Kosovar
Albanians can proclaim their own sovereignty and have
their new country be eventually recognized by the
United States of America and the European Union.

If they can, they will humiliate Russia and the
Security Council of the United Nations.

A second Albania will prove to be a loyal military and
political ally of the United States and a big pain in
the neck of Europe.

Tension will surely spill over to Macedonia,
Montenegro, southern Serbia and, possibly, Greece.

It will paralyze the southeastern part of united
Europe.

A knowledgeable person, Yelena Ponomaryova, sees the
Balkans as an area where many new political
technologies are put to test.

If you recall what is known as the Belgrade revolution
of three years ago and the removal from office of
Slobodan Milosevic, and then the color revolutions on
post-Soviet territory, you will see that there is no
difference whatsoever between all those events.

The technologies are the same, and about the same
moves are made in every effort to put them to work.

That is why, Ponomaryova says, the latest developments
in the Balkans look highly important in the context of
efforts to settle other crises.

Which means that today’s developments around the
status of Kosovo make an element of the global
geopolitical game of the United States of America.

Which, in turn, teaches a lesson to the Balkans and
the rest of Europe.
