Request for Gen. Mihajlović's rehabilitation

*BELGRADE -- A request for to rehabilitate Commander of the Royal Army 
in the Fatherland General Draža Mihajlović was filed with the District 
Court in Belgrade today.

* Mihajlović was the leader of the Second World War anti-communist and 
royalist Chetnik movement, taking part in a civil war that raged 
alongside the German Nazi occupation.

The communists, which emerged victorious, stripped Mihajlović of all 
civil rights and executed him in the post-war Yugoslavia.

The request today was submitted by the Serbian Liberal Party, the Main 
Board of which includes Academician Kosta Čavoški, the Association of 
the Members of the Yugoslav Army in the Fatherland, Association of 
Political Prisoners and Victims of the Communist Regime, as well as by 
international law Professor Dr. Smilja Avramov.
