Hello everybody!/I'm thick in the middle of cramming to be ready for final exams so forgive me for this being late.
If you want to help to make sure that the next email goes out at least 2 days in advance then please reply to me.
It would literally only take 15-30 minutes of your time to do that! :)/Allrighty, here's what's on the plate for *tonight's City Council Meeting with Public Hearings @ 7:00pm.*
I've attached it as a PDF file.*The part that stands out the most to me is this Public Hearing on changing the new parking zones which was very contentious in the recent past due to the double standards that they legislated:*
*"Item B -- A public hearing to consider an Ordinance amending Chapter 9.83.100 (Temporary Permits), 9.85.100 (Temporary Permits), 9.88.100 (Temporary Permits), 9.83.050 (Enforcement of Parking Restrictions), 9.85.050 (Enforcement of Parking Restrictions), 9.88.050 (Enforcement of Parking Restrictions), and 9.88.030 (Permit Parking Area Authorized - Boundaries) of the Provo City Code to modify temporary permit and enforcement regulations in the Foothill Park, North Joaquin, and University Garden/North Foothills permit parking areas, and to adjust the
boundaries of the University Garden/North Foothills permit parking area."*This email always gets passed on to a few naysayers so let me say I'm not trying to rile people up. I just think that the above Public Hearing should be investigated to see exactly what changes will be made.
I can only pray that it will come closer to being fair for all, without double standards any more.
If I had the time I would call the council office at 852- to get a copy of the proposed changes. If someone can do that, then please email it back to us here at [email protected]
Allright, thanks! And as usual, if you have a concern that you feel has not been addressed then come to the beginning of the meeting -- there is 15 minutes set aside for questions, suggestions, and concerns to be shared by anybody.
If you can't attend tonight, watch it on Channel 17 or Channel 1. Have a nice week! :)Oh yeah, also call me if you can help in any way at all. Previous volunteers have had to at least temporarily drop out due to family and school considerations. Right now, i don't have anyone else to help keep us informed.
Thanks, Roger Brown 356-1032 http://provocitizens.net
