That's right, Tuesday night's city council meeting has some big public
hearings
that you'll probably be interested in or at least have a friend in the
city that will
most definitely be interested in them!

Here's the agenda. I've put stars (***) next to the ones that I think
are of big interest.
A. a _public hearing_ to consider a resolution approving the 2008 Action
Plan for submittal to the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
B. a resolution consenting to the appointment of Lee Bartlett, Vicki
Barrett, Sandra Covey, Newell
Dayley, Janet Hall, Rick Kinateder, George Nelson, Joyce Parker, Karl
Pope, Delbert G. Ririe,
Barbara Sandstrom, and Marian Smoot to the Arts Council.
C. a resolution consenting to the appointment of Cynthia J. Clark to the
Library Board.
*** D. an ordinance amending Section 6.01.070 (Inspections), 6.02.010
(Definitions), and 6.26.020
(License Required) of the Provo City Code _to require inspections as a
condition of licensing one and
two-family rental dwellings, and to require a business license for
short-term rental dwellings_.
E. an ordinance repealing Chapter 2.70 (Conflict of Interest of
Municipal Council Member) and
enacting Chapter 2.07 (Conflict of Interest) of the Provo City Code to
limit participation by a
member of a City body who has a conflict of interest.
PROVO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEETING
*** F. a resolution authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute
an agreement with Utah County
for the sale of real property located at 60 North 300 West and 265-295
West 100 North, Provo,
Utah.
G. Land Use
*** 1. a _public hearing_ to consider a resolution amending Chapter 6
(Land Use) of the Provo
City General Plan to modify future land use policies regarding
development of public
utilities and street systems in the Fort Utah, Lakewood, Lakeview North,
Lakeview
South, Provo Bay and Sunset Neighborhoods. 08-001GPA.
2. a _public hearing_ to consider an ordinance changing the zone
classification of 0.22 acres
of real property located generally at 2270 South Mountain View Parkway
from M1
(Light Manufacturing) to R1.10 (One-family Residential). Provost South
Neighborhood.

3. a _public hearing_ to consider an ordinance amending Section 14.34.230
(Residential Facilities) to limit occupancy of Residential Facilities.
*As always, there is 15 minutes at the beginning of the council meeting
for questions/comments/suggestions from you and I.
