Outrage of the Year

OK, the good news is my laptop finally came home from the hospital after a rather serious hard-drive transplant.  The bad news is, all the files I had in it which weren't backed up before the crash went to the great cyber-beyond.  So it's gonna take me a little time to recreate some "stuff" I use to publish News & Views.  Should be back in "bizness" by Friday.

In the meantime...

Surf your way over to a newspaper put out here in the nation's capital and keep your blood pressure medicine handy.  Go to www.thehill.com and take a gander at the absolutely outrageous Weyant's World "cartoon" in this week's edition.

Just when you think the left can't sink any lower into the gutter...they prove you wrong.

What you'll find is an airplane named "Campaign Finance Reform" taking off at the end of a runway.  Behind an airport fence you'll find a smiling Kentucky Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell aiming a shoulder-fired missile launcher in the air with a caption that reads, "They say these things are most vulnerable when they're just taking off."

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

Yeah, that's really funny.

For Chris Weyant to compare Sen. McConnell's principled opposition to the blatantly unconstitutional campaign finance reform legislation to shooting down an unarmed jetliner loaded with innocent civilian passengers - as al Qaeda tried to do just days ago in Kenya - is WAY beyond the pale.  It's sick.  It's disgusting.  It's outrageous.  And it's unpardonable.

It's also protected free speech.

Then again, so is anything you might like to say to The Hill in response...which you may do by email to editor Albert Eisele at [EMAIL PROTECTED] .  Or give him a call at (202) 628-8500.
