Since Dave was having trouble posting to the list, I thought I would forward

Subject: Re: Installation of OpenSource Version

Hello All,

This fellow wrote this in several days ago. I remember that I had
trouble (as a perl-newbie) when I first installed Daily Update /
Newsclipper. Sometimes we have more fun exploring new features and
designs, and even reading about others doing so. Consequently, it's
easy to forget about the 'little' installation troubles that the new
users might have. "Oh, the damn customers! If they weren't always
coming in the store, we could get our work done!" :)

Let's give him some help! I'm appealing to all because I'm not sure
how much help I can personally give, due to my newbie-ness myself.

Denver, how far have you gotten in your installation? You downloaded
the tarball, installed it, I presume. Did all of the Perl modules
install ok? Where in the installation process are you stumped?
