Help voters find their Polling Place by using your mobile phone. Just text the following to 69866: pp street address zip (For example: pp 400 E. 8th Ave. 80203) In a few seconds, we'll text you back with the address of your polling place. Simple! The most common problem people have on Election Day is not knowing where to vote. But that doesn't have to happen to you or your friends. In 2006, I was working in Columbus, Ohio, where the Congressional race was decided by a tiny margin - literally a few hundred votes. The day after Election Day, a waitress in a local restaurant told us a chilling story: She said that when she showed up at her regular polling place, there was a sign on the door telling her to go somewhere else. When she showed up at the second polling place, the pollworkers told her she was in the wrong spot once again. After being told she couldn't vote at a third polling place, she finally gave up. She had to go to work. She never got to vote. Maybe you know where to go to vote and what time to go, but do your friends? And are you sure what ID you need to bring with you? No? That's okay! In fact, that's exactly why CREDO has launched <http://act.credoaction.com/r/?r=1855&id=1401-902389-VBxeXRx&t=6>GoVote.org, a website where all a voter has to do is enter a ZIP code, and in seconds find everything you need to vote - you'll even have a Google map to tell you exactly where to go, and the option to text the information to your mobile phone. On Election Day, the single most common question people have is, "Where do I go to vote?" Election Protection hotlines get backlogged with people searching for this information - think of how much more quickly we could respond to serious voter suppression issues if we all freed up those hotlines by looking up our polling places online. Not to mention, if you already have all the information you need to vote, you'll have that much more time to volunteer to get others to the polls. <http://act.credoaction.com/r/?r=1855&id=1401-902389-VBxeXRx&t=7>Visit GoVote.org today, and please pass it along to everyone you know. The more of us that know where to vote, the more we can be sure that every vote will count on Election Day. Thank you for working to build a better world.
