From: "Myf Nixon" <m...@mysociety.org> Date: May 16, 2017 8:47 AM Subject: New mySociety research looking at inhouse civic tech in the US To: "TICTeC" <tictecbymysoci...@googlegroups.com> Cc: Thought you might all be interested in this: today, mySociety, in partnership with Microsoft, are launching *Civic Tech Cities*, a new piece of research looking at the technologies local governments implement to serve and communicate with their citizens. It examines 5 digital tools provided by US municipal authorities, and includes some really useful insights into the state of 'inhouse' civic tech today. Our Head of Research, Rebecca Rumbul, describes one key finding as the fact that developing digital tools alongside policy, rather than bolting these tools on afterwards, results not only in better tools, but better policy too. You can download the paper here <https://www.mysociety.org/research/civic-tech-cities/>.
