When I used my adapter (I have 2 - the Belkin and the uConnect) you have to set up Appletalk to use the USB adapter. You do this in two spots: first, on the iMac, use the Appletaljk control panel to select the USB adapter. Then, on the Newton, under Prefs, select APpletalk and make sure Ethertalk is not selected. You want to use the Localtalk cable. Connect from the Newt using Appletalk, make sure Appletalk is on on the iMac, and make sure NCU is running *before* you try to connect with the Newton. Also, are you connecting through a dongle or the SER001 internal serial port? Try turning the Newton off, connecting the Localtalk cable, then turning the newton back on before docking. Good luck! ===== ------------------------ Matthew Reidsma newton user reidsma at yahoo dot com ------------------------ __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
