Returning to a 6 month old problem regarding disabling of ACLs. We now
have fedora users who need access to the Solaris NFS server, and
sadly, the "noacl" patch is in Fedora Core 5 and above. Users who
still on 4, as well as ubuntu users on the previous release, have
kernels without the "noacl" availability patch. Even with vers=3, we
are still finding data that is migrated to ZFS from linux file servers
w/ rsync now contains ACLs, and the clients get permissions denied all
over the place since they cannot turn off the ACLs. I'll ask the
someone unanswered question from before. Can you disable ACLs in
Solaris? I know you can set the MAX nfs server version to 3, but I
can't seem to find any docs on resorting to POSIX permissions only.
