We are having a lot of trouble with file access and permissions. If we create a file in NFS (v3 and/or v4) we can't write to the file from CIFS. The opposite is also a problem in that CIFS created files can't always be written to from NFS. Sometimes the ! symbol to force the write works, but not always, and then we can usually never write to the file again from CIFS.
Is sharing files with ZFS really this complicated or are we just doing something wrong? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
