I'm seeing the same problem on two X4500s running Solaris 10 x86 11/06. This
started right after we installed the 11/9/2007 recommended patch cluster
containing kernel patch 127112-03. We were previously at 125101-05 and having
no problems. Now prstat indicates the nfsd LWP count steadily climbing till it
hits our preconfigured system max (the NFSD_SERVERS variable in
/etc/default/nfs) and hangs NFS. Only a reboot fixes the problem. Sun support
says the coredumps we sent them indicate zfs is holding a lock that interferes
with nfsd. So something in the recent patch set is triggering this behavior.
I'm still waiting on a fix from Sun.
