And the extensive series of patches before that, making it possible to
remove that extra fd tree.
Originally, that was one big patch from circa April 2015 (or earlier),
but it was split into 30+ smaller patches to make it easier to review.
In any
case though, perhaps we should start from pulling up the ntirpc
experimentally.
Not likely to work. The API changed a lot.
