I just checked something and it seems that my partition where I store the nfsen data is ext3, and it has 5% of it reserved for root (this is default for ext2/3 partitions).
I guess that nfcapd runs as netflow user, and can't access this 5%. And 5% of 245G is about 12G! So, I seem to have forgotten about this restriction when I did my calculations, because I had reserved 220G for the live profile, which cuts things a bit close. I guess in case of large disks, you need to take into account all reserved space.
