Hi Nynke I can see straight away one thing that will be causing your website to be very slow and that is that you have the debug setting portal_css setting turned on as I can see all your css files are being loaded separately rather than be merged together.
If you go into the the ZMI for your site click on portal_css make sure that the Debug/development mode is unticked.
