You need to tell us more details about WHAT you are actually doing.
Post the HQL and probably some details about the calculations.

There is no general solution for 100K records. There is no "If you
have 100K records, just use feature X". There is some trade-off. It
depends on the situation which way is appropriate.

To give you a clue on what solutions could be considered:

- HQL where: you load only the data you need
- HQL select: you load only the columns you need
- HQL fetch: you tell NH how to load objects more efficient
- SQL select: do the calculations in the db, get only results from the
DB
- SQL update: you update the data in the database, without loading
- HQL update (?)
- Stored Procedures: you don't load any data and let the DB do
everything
- Mapping: You classes could probably be mapped more efficient
- Solutions I don't know
- Completely different solutions because I didn't understand the root
of your problem.
