I just asked the similar question in stackoverflow, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1495091/how-to-create-nhibernate-criteria-for-map-dictionary-associations. And John recommended me to the NH User groups. My new project utilizes a lot of dynamically generated query which I think using Criteria is probably the better way than generating HQL on the fly.
