I recently pruchased an '03 750 from a dealer, that didn't have the back rest/luggage rack on it. Before I picked the bike up, I had them order a Honda back rest (P/N 08F75-MW3-100) with the original intention that I would install it after ward. Now, unfortunately for this case, it came in before I picked the bike up so the dealer offered (naturally) to install it for a small fee. After doing some web research, and reading other instances of people having to cut the plastics to get it installed right, I went ahead and let them install it. Because I didn't install it myself I can't tell you exactly what they did, but I'm pretty sure they did cut some plastic. What I could do is post a couple pictures of their installation, if you think that would be helpful. Let me know if you want me to do that.
