The manual says to remove the upper end and a ton of stuff to do this. There is a better way. I can walk you through the process. BUT, you have to accept that this requires you to remove the engine. If you're up for it. my method will leave the head and cylinder block in place with the pistons still in place. For a skilled tech this would take about eight hours. For a novice, expect it to take up a lot of room for and time.
