Unless you're one of those people that tries on helmets one place and buys
on-line, I would suggest trying many and buying from your local supplier. Since
you spend a lot of time with one on, make it the best fit. Shoei ? Love 'em.
The "Vader" lid ? Yeah, Simpson. Looks cool but not a really great item. The
budget line of Bell is now made by an Italian firm. I go for a fit that is
somewhat tight ( I can feel myself smile) They loosen in time anyway. DOT and
Snell are a must.  When you try on a helmet, cinch it up and shake your head.
If it moves even a slight bit more than you do, it's too big. If the next size
down is too small, try another brand. A helmet is one of the most intimate
items you'll ever wear. The cool looking ones with all the vents and such just
add to the noise inside. I wear a Bell in warm weather and a high-end AVG when
it goes below 60. The AVG color scheme is Ugly but it was the best fitting
thing we had.

Hey everyone!

I'm needing to pick up a couple new helmets this year and I'm pretty seriously
considering a Nolan modular. (I'm totally sold on the modular helmets!) Does
anyone have a favorite helmet reseller? Obviously I would like to get the best
deal I can.

Thanks!

Paul
