I used velcro on my GoldWing side covers.  It works wherever the  
panel makes contact with the frame - and where it doesn't it's easy  
to attach something to the frame with a radiator hose so it makes  
contact with the panel.  Buy the velcro tabs where both tabs have one  
side sticky,  Graham
