Welcome to the group. I don't know much about paint so I can't answer that question, but I noticed the pencil holding your headlight on. I had to buy new allen bolts to hold the head light on my 650. There should be capture nuts on the inside with a bendable clasp to help hold the spaghetti of wires kept in that housing.
