I have been looking into getting the tank on my 83 Nighthawk 650 lined because it is starting to rust also. I found a place in Minnesota that would bake in a liner for about $200, but that is hard on the paint. My mechanic referred me to an auto shop that specializes in cooling systems and does some gas tank work. They said they can clean it and put in a rubberized tank liner for less than $100.00. There are various opinions on the Kreem Kit. People seem to either love it or hate it. I have never used it, but it sounds like if not done absolutely right, it can start to flake off and plug up your carbs. Whatever you end up doing, let us know. Always like to hear about new products!
