For most bikes an alarm system would drain the battery too much, I think.  The
apartment complex next to the storage facility where I work part - time has had
a rash of bikes stolen of late and many have started storing their bikes in the
smaller units.  It may mean a little bit of a walk, but that could be an
option.
I used to live in that complex, but at that time we could store our bikes in
the covered area that was a porch.  The management no longer allows that...
It may not be feasible for you, but it's an idea.
Also, some of them have this half-inch thick cable lock that they use to tie
their bikes to the posts of the parking covers.  Might want to stay up one
night and hide out somewhere with a gun and scare the crap out of them.  I know
this old marine who had problems with toughs breaking into the cars in his lot,
and he did that one night: no more break-ins.

maybe he can get one of those alarms that warn you that you have 20 seconds to
get away from the bike or it will scream. "You have 20 seconds to stand away
from the bike or alarm will sound!". Real James Bond stuff. Either that or tie
a pitt bull to it. HotrodMamma.

Hey, he's kinda like Kyle. We can start a group with *yle as our name.

On a more serious note, they do make alarms for when your bike gets moved, but
by the time your bike is moving, it'll be on the ground anyway.

Maybe sit outside with a paintball gun for a little while one of these nights.

Hello everyone here my name is Lucas. I have a CB650SC and have been
having some problems at my apartment complex. I live near the frats on
my college campus and I've recently found my bike tipped over in it's
parking spot. There's nothing I can do about moving it indoors and
have had to replace over $200 worth in parts now. My question to
everyone is do you know of an alarm system that would be triggered if
the bike got knocked over?
