mother nature will not let you change the gear ratios without altering the power output. You can change it minimaly from 5% to 7% and lower the rpm's appreciabley there are formulas and charts available to guide you in this effort. Search Paul's Nighthawk Lovers page under maintenance/mods for a start.

It feels good but just to warn you it is loud. I have experimented with a few after market exhaust systems and V&H is the better quality product and the quietist w/o modification. It will make your bike sound like a sport bike.
