We find even more to agree on... I had an Austin-Healy 100-4. What can you say
about those cars ? primitive, quaint, ghastly.. Terrible ride, feet burning
from the exhaust, wet from all the leaks... Kinda' fun. Never again. A three
year restoration project.

# a few more details and I'll have an answer to a question you posed. Surprise
answer.

The Brits never made anything near the quality of the Nipponese.  I have worked
on many British machine tools, I've owned a TR-3, MGB-GT, which worked well
temporaily and required enormous amounts of maintenance to tune up and required
constant tweeking to keep running. I'll never own another British machine
again.  I wouldn't wish one on my worst enemy.

I've had trouble imagining what I would ride after the Nighthawk.
The new stuff does not appeal to me!
But this weekend, I started researching the Triumph Bonneville,

My '99 NH has many miles to go, but it's nice to know
there is a similar, distant Standard cousin out there.
