I suppose it is.. OK, remove the bottom of one carb. (four Phillips screws) What's inside ? Send close up pix. Method to clean is based on condition. You will need a good carb cleaner (I use Berkbile 2+2) and a small length of wire .005" diameter. Do not remove any other parts or separate the carbs from the mounting. Enough for now.

Cavignac" <[email protected]>, [email protected] Date: Sunday, August 9, 2009, 9:07 PM Hey Guys... so I finally got the carbs off of my Nighthawk CB650SC...for a good carb cleaning...with Dennis' and other group members help.... it took a little work and a lot of time and patience...to get all 8 of the manifold bolts loose...that was the most difficult part for me...but they are off now and I'm ready to move on to the next step....so... Dennis...and anyone else... The tank itself is in pretty good condition...i checked it out with a dental mirror like you suggested and except for a little rust around the edge of the filler cap...the inside is in pretty good shape for a 25 year old bike... i've attached four pics of the carbs removed from the bike...the rest of the pics can be seen in my web album:...http://picasaweb.google.com/84.NIGHTHAWK/CARBREBUILD?feat=directlink thanks in advance for any advice and help offered -NghthwkLvr- --- On Sun, 8/9/09, NghthwkLvr <[email protected]> wrote: From: NghthwkLvr <[email protected]> Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] CARB CLEANING 101 - They're finally off!...Now what?
