Thanks for all the info Dennis... I did get everything you said i
would need, except for the wire...I thought I remembered someone
saying that a certain guitar string is that size (.005)...is that
true? and if so which string is it? I have a lot of friends that play
guitar so should be able to get a hold of one pretty easily...

and yes, this is a 1984 CB650SC...

I am going to work on getting this done slowly this week...i'll post
after pics when i finish all the cleaning...

oh by the way, i have that url bookmarked in my favorites!... You,
this group and  that site are getting me through this restoration
project....thanks again...
