I've had only minimal problems finding parts for my '83 650 Hawk. 3 years is
actually a pretty long run for a particular model. The 550 was made only in
'83 and is much harder to find parts for. HotrodMamma

650?

The '83 650 engine was brand new and totally different from previous
versions, and it was produced for only 3 years. Basically, parts
availability is not good at all, at least in my experience.

Someone else will have to chime in on the 550.
