Graham,

I think it is going to be permanent. I'm waffling a bit because my wife
has filed for divorce and it isn't 100% sure if she's going to complete the
action or drop it. If she drops it and we reach some accommodation, I may
be going back and forth. But, at the moment, it is looking pretty
permanent.

I looked for 700SCs in NZ and found nothing. Since they were only made for
the U.S. at the 699cc size, I doubt that there would be many, if any there.
Both mine are pretty clean so it seems like shipping them would be good.
When I get tired of one or both of them, I should be able to sell them since
they would be clean, rare and fairly unique there. It'll be $1200 to
$1500 to ship it, I think, based on last time.

Cheers!

I need to get back to NZ either late this year or early next. My sister in
Tauranga needs help with her house and I haven't seen my step mother in
years and ...
So, are you planning moving permanently? I imagine shipping your 700S would
be cheaper than buying another one there although I can also imagine you'd
soon find another one there. I would. See you there!

Graham,

I've got a ticket to head south from LAX on November 25th so I'll be in Chch
on the 27th. If you come to Chch, I've got a spare room and you've got an
open invitation to come and stay. If I decide to ship my second 700SC
down there, I'll have two there and that'll mean, if you come by, we can go
for a ride together. That'll be fun, eh?

Oh, I wondered should there be something in there. And I had noted your
preference for Avons. I found it in my stored 'motorcycle fix it help'
messages. I'll look them up. I need a set of tires for a 650 and a 700 NH.
Thanks dennis, Graham ps, when are you moving to Christchurch? I saw
something back there that indicated it was soon. That will give me a good
reason to visit the S.I. and not just home in the north.

Graham,

On a 700SC at least, I think they are referring to the small, flat, plastic
document holder that you'll find under your seat all the way in the back
tucked into the space by the tail-lite. Most folks keep their registration
documents in them.

Good luck, I just won the under-the-seat document bucket for my 700S on
stealBay.

I have the same tires Kyle. They aren't too bad. They catch the ruts a bit

I put Cheng-Shin Barracuda-Vs on my 650. $109 for both including
installation and balancing (I just brought the rims in). They seemed fine
for me. They didn't wander or follow grooves too badly and did decent in
rain, cold weather, and hot weather. I didn't try racing them or diving into
turns though.
