I heard from a guy that what you can do is have your carbs full with gas like
normal, then disconnect the fuel line that supplies the carbs with fuel from
the petcock. Then start your bike and continually spray Deep Creep, another Sea
Foam product, into the fuel line so that your engine runs completely on Deep
Creep till the can is gone. I haven't tried this but Deep Creep can also be
used as starting fluid and has upper cylinder lubrication so it should work, it
will smoke insanely bad from what I hear but that is what sea foam products do.
That is just a suggestion and an option you could try but remember that I
haven't done it so I don't know if it works.

Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] Running SeaFoam Through My '84 Nighthawk

I just purchased my 1984 Nighthawk this spring. I have only had a few
minor problems with it but nothing too major to take it off the road
for the season. After rebuilding the starter and a few electrical
problems it has ran great. I starting hearing what I believe to be
some valve noise probably related to some carbon build up an I got the
recommendation from a friend to run SeaFoam through it. I read the
directions on the bottle and I had originally wanted to run it through
the air box directly into the carb but deemed that not the easiest
option and just opted to dump some into my crankcase and in the gas
tank. It still worked beautifully but the noise came back
intermittently. I bought another bottle of seafoam and would like to
try to get it directly into the carbs because I think that will give
me some better benefits. Does anyone have any tips on an easy way to
do this? I have to be able to get it into all four carbs
simultaneously while the bike is running according to the bottle.
          Thanks,
                Bennyb
