V&H strikes again !  The problem is actually air speed in the carbs is too slow 
at low speeds and it goes lean when letting off. Much has been written here 
about that effect. Do you still have the intake snorkel on the air-box lid ? 
Has to be there. Rejetting does not cure any of this.

1986 700sc v&h exaust, stock air filter, petcock cleaned, #3 plug
slightly fouled with black soot. slight hesitation on take off and
slight popping on braking. its not bad enough for me to take off
carbs. have sprayed carb cleaner in it several times. seafoamed it
twice. either to much fuel or not enough air. can i adjust sync screw
to compinsate. and if so adjust in or out. bike idles fine. not a big
problem just nit picking. would appreciate input.
