Today I installed the GPS Mount and took 2 hour ride to test it out. This is one inexpensive upgrade, since I already had a GPS from a couple of years ago, that I wish had been done right after the bike was bought last year. Mountguys.com (via Amazon) sold a kit from RAM Mount Systems for my particular GPS that included a U bolt mount for the handle bar, a 3" arm, and the clip for the TomTom One XL for less than $40 including shipping. For power a female cigarette lighter adapter with inline fuse was purchased from Radio Shack. This was wired to the battery and the lighter connector attached to my headlight bracket with the excess wire hidden in the storage pockets in the fairing. The only downside is actually seeing the screen in sunlight. This isn't that bad as I tend to explore rural back roads and just need to glance for an upcoming turn. The GPS stayed in position the entire trip which included some RR crossings and rough roads. I appreciate all the advice you guys gave me.
