It's really all pretty simple... RAM Mounts makes a mount for darned near every handheld GPS made as well as non-handhelds. I have a Garmin GPS 76CSx that I use on the boat as a back-up and I have a RAM mount for it that goes on my NH650 when I decide to put it on which isn't often 'cuz the NH doesn't ever get far from the garage. I run that unit self contained so it remains totally portable. Nothings getting into the wiring on my NH.
On my sport/tour, I run a Garmin StreetPilot 2820 which has bluetooth, autorouting, mp3 player, & XM Sat & Weather. That unit is hardwired into a fused bus bar along with my Autocom System, Radar Det, lead for compressor, and a weatherproof 12v cig lighter. That GPS is also held up by a RAM mount cradle made specifically for the SP2820. I even have a RAM for my SPOT GPS Emergency locator. I'm tellin' ya, they build one for damned near anything! I'd suggest having a looksy at www.gpscity.com as they have all the RAM Mounts as well as GPS accesories so you can buy the hardwire pigtails if you decide to go with a hard mount. ~Tim --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
